Hewitt Robins has recently supplied two replacement triple-deck screens in East London.
Hewitt Robins was asked to replace a couple of problematic triple-deck screens. These screens were handling around 500tph of sea-dredged sand and gravel, and due to the tough working conditions, the replacement screens were fully metalized and coated in a 3-layer polyurethane paint protection. The screens were also mounted on rubber marshmallows as the customer was experiencing problems with their previous coiled springs, which were failing prematurely.
Both screens were designed to fit onto the existing footprint with minimal modification and to use the same type of media as the existing screens. The screens have been in operation for a couple of months, and the customer is delighted with their performance.
