Service Exchange Programme

Hewitt Robins supplies the largest Copper Ore mines in South America for three decades!

Hewitt Robins supplies and supports some of the largest construction, steel, and mining companies globally. The world-class service exchange programme allows customers to carry consignment stock of critical components and ensures minimal downtime.

One such customer benefiting from the service exchange program is one of the largest Copper Ore mines in South America. The relationship is now well into its third decade with an increasing population of machines keeping the mine going.

Whilst each screen application is different within the mine and all machines are individually designed for the specific application, Hewitt Robins standardized vibrator pods allows an effective service programme to be implemented.

The mine operates and implements a thorough maintenance programme, carrying out regular oil sampling to identify any signs of bearing deterioration, as a standard at 30,000 hours the mine will take the vibratory pod out of operation and replace it with a spare unit on site.  The decommissioned pod is then returned to Hewitt Robins for a full inspection, with any worn items being replaced, before being returned. This cycle of sampling and exchange has resulted in zero bearing failures and continuous operation.
