Hewitt Robins supplies replacement Vibrating Pan Feeder to long-standing installation in Southern France
Hewitt Robins has recently supplied a 1.25m x 4.8m Vibrating Pan Feeder to a customer in Southern France, replacing an original Hewitt Robins feeder that had been in continuous operation since 1976.
After more than four decades of service and having processed over 60 million tonnes of -1.5m limestone, the original feeder was ready for replacement. The new heavy-duty unit was engineered to meet the demands of the application and supplied complete with a welded feeder frame, Hardox 450 pan liners, coiled springs, a twin-shaft vibrator unit, V-belt drive assembly, 22kW motor, and variable speed drive.
The feeder has now been installed and operational for six months, delivering reliable performance in a demanding quarry environment. Designed for long-term durability, the new unit is expected to provide many years of continuous service, supporting efficient material handling well into the future.
This project highlights Hewitt Robins’ ability to support customers throughout the full lifecycle of their equipment, delivering engineered replacement solutions that maintain productivity while extending plant longevity.
