Hewitt Robins has successfully delivered a full turnkey project to replace a worn-out screen with a new V-13 1.8m x 6.0m Inclined Double Deck replacement screen, providing a robust and future-proof solution for continued high-performance operation.
The project involved complete design, manufacture, installation and commissioning, all completed within the agreed timeframe. One of the key priorities was to ensure that the new screen would integrate seamlessly into the customer’s existing setup. The engineering team developed a solution that fitted within the original structure and footprint, requiring little to no modification, allowing the changeover to be completed smoothly and efficiently.
The newly installed V-13 screen has been specifically engineered for demanding applications and long service life. Key features include:
10mm thick side plates for maximum strength and durability
Cross member spacing every 600mm to enhance structural integrity
2-bearing oil-lubricated vibrator unit driven by an 11 kW motor
Close-fitting guard and coiled springs for safe and stable operation
New spray bars and manifold to support efficient screening performance
Rubber cross member protection for reduced wear and maintenance
Polyurethane modules matched to the previous screen for seamless continuity
