07 Feb 2021

We are very proud to announce that 2021 marks the 130th year of trading for Hewitt Robins.

Back in 1891, company founder, Thomas Robins (pictured below) first began work on the design of heavy-duty conveyor belts for transporting coal and ore for the great American Inventor, Thomas Edison, and his Ore-Milling Company. His invention was so successful that it won the Grand Prize at the Paris Exposition World Fair in 1900. Mr Robins then went on to design the first ever Vibrating Screens in 1912.

Since its early inception Hewitt Robins has developed a proven history in the design, manufacture and supply of Vibrating Screens, Feeders, Crushers and Foundry Equipment to the bulk material handling industries around the World. The company now operates from the head office in Measham, Derbyshire and supplies equipment all over the world for many different applications.

Chris Pratt, Managing Director at Hewitt Robins International said “We are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone anniversary. We remain dedicated to the continued innovation of our products and the technology we use. As a company we are looking forward to the next 130 years and maintaining our position as World Leaders in the supply of Vibrating Equipment.”
