Hewitt Robins has successfully supplied and installed a custom-made replacement vibrating screen for one of our very loyal clients. Previously, they were working with a worn-out 1.5 x 6.0 Double Deck Inclined screen.
The top deck was subjected to heavy loading from the cone crusher, leading to excessive recirculation of 20mm material. After conducting thorough simulations and calculations, we discovered opportunities to enhance the machine's setup and operating angle. Our new V11 1.5 x 6.0 double deck screen features an increased amplitude and a steeper top deck, designed to boost material travel speed and facilitate efficient screening of 20mm material.
This upgrade significantly reduced the recirculated load back to the cone, leading to lower wear rates.
While it may seem like a straightforward like-for-like customised screen replacement, this project included key improvements that directly address the customer’s plant bottleneck which will serve them well for many years to come!
