02 May 2024

Hewitt Robins has successfully commissioned two vibrating machines for one of Africa’s largest Phosphate mines.

The machines supplied include an LPE-11 1500 x 5100 Heavy Duty Vibrating Feeder, which was designed to handle 600tph of -400mm Phosphate. The feeder is installed under a hopper, with feed control managed by a variable speed control. The vibrating pan feeder then feeds onto a conveyor belt, which in turn feeds a Hewitt Robins V-16 2200 x 6000 Inclined Grizzly Scalper. The grizzly scalper is capable of handling up to 600tph of Phosphate and is separating at 150mm using grizzly bars with Hardox 400 tops. All machines were supplied with support springs, spring stools, spring brackets, spring base plates, vibrator pulleys, motor pulleys, drive belts, pivoting motor base, and high-efficiency motors.

These machines have been operational for over 12 months now, and the customer is extremely satisfied with their performance.
